As Erasure, the iconic synth-pop duo of Vince Clarke and Andy Bell prepare for the release of their forthcoming album, Snow Globe, due out November 11th via Mute, the group is streaming the new album via USA Today. Check out the Q&A with vocalist Andy Bell and listen to the full album here.

Snow Globea collection of original compositions and seasonal classics follows Erasure’s 2011 album, Tomorrow’s World. The First single “Gaudete” is Erasure’s take on the traditional Latin carol, which will be recognizable by many after Steeleye Span’s version of the early 70’s.  Erasure created a series of unique and beautiful stop animation videos with Martin Meunier (James & The Giant Peachand Coraline) and Tonya Hurley, author of the best-selling ghostgirl andThe BlessedWatch the dark and beautiful stop-motion animation clip for “Gaudete” the new video for the first single off of Snow Globe HERE.

Unlike the bells and whistles, glitter and tinsel sets that crowd the market come Christmas-time, Snow Globeis possessed of something more in the wistfully, strangely subdued celebratory mold of recent seasonal albums by Tracey Thorn and Kate Bush.

Formed 28 years ago, Erasure--the award-winning songwriting duo of Vince Clarke and Andy Bell--unleashed on the nation a succession of both influential and chart-topping pop anthems of the ‘80’s, ‘90’s and through today. Songs like “A Little Respect,” “Sometimes,” “Victim Of Love,” “Ship Of Fools,” “Blue Savannah,” “Star,” “Chains Of Love,” “Who Needs Love (Like That),” “Love To Hate You,”  “Drama!,” “Always,” and “Breathe” ensured a formidable presence on the singles charts complemented by five consecutive # 1 albums in theU.K. including The InnocentsWild!Chorus and the beginning of the worldwide Abba revivalAbba-esque.
