California-based rockers, Night Riots have announced that they will be opening for Kitten on "Back To Your Love" at theConstellation Room inside The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. Since the 2010 release of their first full-length album, Into The Roaring, Night Riots haven't looked back. Rolling Stone Magazinedubbed them "one of the top 16 unsigned bands in North America," MTV has aired the singles "Chase The Sky" and "Some Nights," which became the fourth most viewed video on MTV.com and MTV Buzzworthy called Night Riots, "One of the most critically overlooked bands of 2012."
This year has been kind to Night Riots, with the release of their latest EP, Young Lore, that had critics and fans alike buzzing about the band's matured sound. The band's newest work displays a new confidence and tight musicianship - pulling from influences fromThe Killers to The Cure - without abandoning a sound that is uniquely Night Riots. These efforts have not gone unnoticed with support pouring out from Fuse TV, Filter Magazine, NYLON Guys, AV Club and the like.
"We've been friends since high school, the guys and I grew up in a small coastal Californian town with only one street light." says Hawley about the band which also featured guitarist Nick Fotinakes, bassist Mikel Van Kranenburg, guitarist Matt DePauw, and drummer Rico Rodriguez. Having moved on from their small town roots, Night Riots have since shared the stage with artists likeAngel and Airwaves, The Script, Youngblood Hawke, Shiny Toy Guns, The Front Bottoms, Driver Friendly, and many other bands throughout their U.S. touring expeditions. They are set to open for Kitten at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California.
