Moonlight Bride Premieres "Lemonade" Video

March 28, 2012 – Los Angeles, CA – Chattanooga based indie-rock band Moonlight Bride has premiered the video for “Lemonade,” the new single from their recently released Twin Lakes EP, exclusively on  Watch the video now at
Produced by Stephen Nichols and mixed by John Goodmanson (Death Cab For Cutie, Los Campesinos!), “Lemonade” is the first single from Moonlight Bride’s new EP, Twin Lakes.  The track showcases the band’s crafty songwriting and signature infusion of brooding distortion and haunting melody, resulting in dream-like soundscape of noise-pop ecstasy.
With the help from director Thomas Ramsay, Moonlight Bride captures the leisurely emotions of “Lemonade” perfectly in their new video for the single, which is set in an abandoned warehouse during a masked party.
“I wanted it to embody the feeling of being bored in the summer,” singer/guitarist Justin Giles tells  “And doing things because you want to do them. Not because you have to.”
Moonlight Bride is doing exactly what they want this year too!  2012 is proving to be a groundbreaking year for the band.  With multiple buzzworthy performances at SXSW, a South Eastern U.S. tour and the release of their Twin Lakes EP, Moonlight Bride continues to win over new fans and critics alike.  And the band is only getting started….
In April, Moonlight Bride will begin writing their full-length follow-up to Twin Peaks to be released later this year.  Stay tuned to for information and updates.

Midnight Youth Announce Cali Dates

New York, NY - [March 27, 2012] – With a platinum selling debut record and a chart-topping follow-up, a world tour seems like an appropriate measure for New Zealand’s premier rock group, Midnight Youth.  With their hit single “World Comes Calling” in tow, the band will be hitting the sunny shores of California this spring for a string of dates including performances at the legendary Viper Room and an appearance at The 8th Annual MUSEXPO Los Angeles, a highly respected music festival that has helped launch the careers of Katy Perry and LMFAO.

In October of 2011, Midnight Youth released the follow up to their debut platinum album “The Brave Don’t Run.” The sophomore offering, World Comes Calling endeavours to capture all the enthusiasm and energy the group exhibits on stage. The album debuted at #4 on the NZ National Charts as well as being the #1 Rock album in the country. The singles World Comes Calling and Who Said You’re Free were well received by Rock radio stations across the country.

Midnight Youth has sold over 60,000 records and singles worldwide with no plans to slow down. They have done countless TV appearances in New Zealand, received 8 nominations at the New Zealand Music awards and in 2009 were awarded Best Rock Act, Best Group and Best Engineered Recording. Here’s what people are saying about Midnight Youth:

“World Comes Calling is a bigger-in-sound, grander-in-scope record that pushes every button marked "epic" that it can find….comes front-loaded with five beautifully produced tracks that don't muck around in delivering pure audio adrenaline and will be among the best rock songs released by a Kiwi band this year.” – New Zealand Herald

“After storming their way to success with that first release, these guys are back with something equally hook-laden but a million times more epic and sincere. Whether it’s through instinct or experience or both, this band knows exactly how to construct the perfect rock n roll album”

Fortunately, America will have several opportunities to see Midnight Youth perform live.  The band will be in California for the following dates:

Holy Esque to Release New EP In April

March 26, 2012 - Los Angeles, CA - Scottish Indie rock band Holy Esque has announced plans to release their self-titled debut EP on April 23.  The EP will be available digitally on iTunes and on CD at upcoming shows.  Listen to the new track "Rose" streaming now at
The young Holy Esque, whose members range from 19 to 20 years old, formed in early 2011 in Glasgow and consists of Pat Hynes (vocals/guitar), Keir Reid (keys), Hugo McGinley (guitar) and Ralph McClure (drums).   The band began playing shows throughout the UK in less than six months of their inception.  After posting a few demos online, word spread rapidly about the enigmatic band’s intense sonic morass of distortion and atmospheric soundscapes, landing them coverage on numerous blogs and NME’s prestigious “Radar,” who said "HE really benefit from that everything up to ten factor, but also know their way around a riff that kinda sounds like classic Bunnymen played by James Dean Bradfield….you'll be needing to play this loud."
In early 2012, Holy Esque entered the DIY Pink Megic Studios built in a flat in the Southside of Glasgow with producer Kevin Burleigh (Glasvegas, Simple Minds, Supernaturals) to record their debut self-titled debut.  Armed with big riffs, thick crunchy bass lines and perhaps one of the most unique, yearning vocals heard in years, Holy Esque meld post-punk and 90’s alternative rock influences with skillful ability on their debut.  Featuring driving indie rock anthems like “Rose” and “Ladybird Love,” the EP is an incredible introduction to Glasgow’s most promising new band.
Holy Esque are confirmed to perform at Tallinn Music Week in Estonia this weekend and will hit the road in April for a EP release tour in the UK.
Holy Esque EP Track Listing:
1.    Ladybird Love
2.    Rose

Anthony Raneri Tour For "New Cathedrals"

March 9 , 2012

Click for hi-res
NEW YORK, NY – After wrapping up his annual solo outing on the Where’s The Band? Tour and a handful of dates with his band BAYSIDE including last weekend's MUSINK festival in SoCal , ANTHONY RANERI, lead vocalist/guitarist, is ready to get back on the road in support of his debut solo EP New Cathedrals, which was self-released on his own Gumshoe Records earlier this year. Supporting him on his Northeast and Midwest headline tour will be vocalist/guitarist Steve Soboslai of Punchline. The tour will kickoff at Altar Bar in Pittsburgh on April 19th, work its way out to the Midwest, and return to the Northeast, concluding at T.T. the Bear’s on April 29th.
From the Americana-tinged country of lead track "Sandra Partial", to the instantly memorable “Lead, Follow, Fall”, to the reggae of the closing track "Please Don't Leave", it's quite apparent that this EP is no Bayside record. "First and foremost, it should be made clear that Bayside is not only still a band but will always be my priority," Anthony Raneri explains. His ability to standalone without a band backing him has been indisputable by the release of his critically-acclaimed solo debut. Alternative Press declares, “Raneri ties everything together well, establishing a solid foundation for presumably a far more expansive and demanding full-length”. Absolutepunk adds, “New Cathedrals strays in several different ways, but at the foundation is a man who is at the top of his game in songwriting – Bayside or otherwise”. ThePunkSite reaffirms, “If anyone ever doubted Anthony Raneri’s diversity as a musician, this is solid proof that he’s comfortable with breaking the Bayside mould”.
In addition to being the singer, songwriter, and guitarist in Bayside for the past eleven years, Raneri has been a permanent fixture on the annual Where’s The Band? Tour and has spent every other summer sweating on the Vans Warped Tour. He’ll be working a double shift this summer on Warped since he’ll be performing with Bayside and doing his solo acoustic thing on the brand new Acoustic Basement Stage.
You can catch Anthony next month on his solo headline tour or throughout summer on Vans Warped Tour. New Cathedrals was released on January 17, 2012 via Gumshoe Records. Tickets for his solo dates can be purchased here:

Agape Attire Opens Retail Store in So Cal

Ross Kenyon of Confide, along with his wife Celina, established Agape Attire roughly five years ago. Now you may say that every band guy has a tshirt line these days and you would be right. However, many of them are flash in the pan, and disappear as fast as they arrive. Others are developed as wings of already established brands. Ross has however, made a very serious go of this and established a brand that has not only survived, but thrived. Evidence of the thriving nature of the brand, was the opening last Saturday of a retail store in So Cal. If you are not local, you still have plenty of opportunity to purchase items online, but if you get a chance, you can check out the store here:

Mon - Fri
10am - 4pm

2233 South Huron Dr.
Santa Ana, CA 92704

So come out and support a locally owned and operated business.
