“Thoughtful, emotive rock that finds singer Tommy Walter crooning over a hushed instrumental landscape.  Basically, if you've been a fan in the past, this is a welcome return.”
- RCRDLBL

“A sublimely polished album that figures to not only have the emo kids swooning but that, owing to Walter’s open-hearted confrontations with his own struggles, adults will find relatable as well. As returns go, Abandoned Pools’ is at least brave, if not happy.”
- BuzzBandsLA

Mixing the warm, catchy melodies of Mae and the delicate atmospheres of Copeland, Walter has crafted a record meant for basking in the sunny glow of late summer with arms stretched for the sky,
spinning in a careless bliss.”

- The New Review

“An '80s-inspired synth album with an abundance of smiles and electronic drums, ‘Billion’ kicks in like a psychophrenic nod to Trent Reznor and the Social Network soundtrack.”
- Seattle Weekly
“’Behemoth’ is a sweet and soft pop track with plenty of pretty piano” - CMJ
"Mellow songwriting focused on story and vocal melody."
- Music Connection

“It’s a pop album as heartwarming as they come.” - Indie Vision Music
