The American Scene: "Safe For Now"

Coming out this Tuesday (8/7/12), SAFE FOR NOW is the latest release from Berkeley-based The American Scene. While this is a good record in all aspects from writing to production, the special appeal for me is Matthew Vincent's vocals; heartfelt and emotive delivery, with really unique phrasing. You will feel every word.

One of the key terms you could apply to this album is classic. Like recent releases from The Gaslight Anthem and The Parlotones, it is quite easy to see yourself still playing this album ten or fifteen years from now, and still liking it just as much.

Key Tracks: "Untitled" and "Used To You"

For fans of: Brand New, Transit, Taking Back Sunday

The American Scene will be playing two So Cal dates coming up in support of this album:

Chain Reaction - Anaheim 8/16/12
Metaphor Cafe - Escondido 8/17/12

Additional dates elsewhere can be found on their FACEBOOK.
