The Boys Are Back: Lit "The View From The Bottom"

It's been far too long, but with the release of THE VIEW FROM THE BOTTOM, it is safe to say 'the boys are back'. Between A. Jay Popoff's, Elvis Costello reminiscent croon and brother Jeremy's dirty, sexy, fierce guitar work I'd say these boys are back like they haven't ever been gone. Except of course they have endured the unspeakable tragedy of losing Allen to cancer, and have finally found it within themselves to pick up and carry on in his honor. With Nathan Walker assuming the throne and the addition of Ryan Gillmor on guitar, Lit's sound is stronger and more fleshed out than ever.

With Butch Walker at the helm there was some worry that this album would come off too pop or too much sounding like Butch, but neither of these predicted criticisms came true. Instead they are just their ever charming, rock boy selves. So many bands try to imitate this sort of badass swagger and come off as comical wannabees, where as these boys pull it off because it's just who they are.
