DILANA: New Single ‘Sexaholic’ Out Now!
Her Album-Her Way Kickstarter Campaign Ending April 9th!
South African rocker DILANA is
ready to reclaim the spotlight. The multi-talented singer, songwriter
and actress, well known for her runner-up performance on Rockstar: Supernova, has
just released her latest single 'Sexaholic', and is busy putting the
finishing touches on her new music video for the dynamic and provocative
song. 'Sexaholic' brings the dark side of the disease known as sex
addiction to the forefront. The eye-catching video, presented by Eardish.com, promises
to be a dark, disturbing and unique look at this often overlooked
affliction. The track is currently available for purchase on iTunes and at other digital outlets, and the video is due to be released in the coming weeks, so be on the lookout.
Following the release of the ‘Sexaholic’ video, DILANA will enter the studio to create a brand new album, the follow up to 2009's Inside Out, with plans for a late 2012 release. She is
asking her devoted fans to help her fund the new album by contributing
to her Kickstarter program. To participate, fans must donate by April
9th at her official Kickstarter page. In addition to personal notes from DILANA to her fans, there you can find rewards available to supporters of different pledge levels including time in the studio with DILANA, autographed guitars, lyrics sheets, and more!

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, DILANA discovered
a love for music at an early age. Inspired by such visceral singers as
Janis Joplin and Tina Turner, she left home and found herself with a
promising music career in Holland, becoming one of the country’s most
coveted live acts. Her 2000 album, Wonderfool, scored five singles, four videos and a string of touring and festival gigs throughout the region.
In 2006, DILANA appeared as a finalist on the popular reality television show Rock Star: Supernova.
Her powerful vocals and commanding stage presence amassed legions of
new fans from around the world. Since placing as first runner up on the
show, DILANA has performed with rock legends Tommy Lee and Mick
Mars (Mötley Crue), Velvet Revolver, Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction, Red
Hot Chili Peppers, The Panic Channel) The Bangles, and Gilby Clark
(Guns N’ Roses). In 2007, she opened for Aerosmith and Beth Hart, and
launched two solo tours spanning North America and Western Europe that
consistently earned stellar reviews. She has also toured Afghanistan two
times to help support the troops fighting overseas.
DILANA was most recently a part of the Go Army Concert Series tour in August 2011, opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Doobie Brothers, as well as touring Holland, South Africa, and the USA on her own. Aside from working on her new album, DILANA is preparing a lead role in an upcoming feature film.
This summer, in addition to various solo tour dates, will see DILANA
take the stage alongside Buckcherry on the opening day of Rock Fest in
Cadott, WI. The four day festival will also see performances from the
likes of Godsmack, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard and Poison, with more
