Hartford, CT – After releasing one of last year’s most highly touted punk albums, MAKE DO AND MEND have decided to tone down their driving and blistering post-hardcore sound on the new EP Part And Parcel, which includes the band’s first recorded acoustic material. Part And Parcel EP Tracklisting
1. Unknowingly Strong (acoustic)
2. Ghostal (acoustic)
3. Home Away From Here
4. Transparent Seas (acoustic)
5. Coats (acoustic)
6. Untitled

Boasting acoustic versions of three songs from their breakthrough debut full-length End Measured Mile (2010, Paper + Plastick), as well as an acoustic version of the recently released track “Coats,” from the Mixed Signals compilation. Part And Parcel also features a cover of Touché Amoré’s “Home Away From Here” and the brand new song “Untitled.” Though the new song showcases Make Do And Mend’s dynamic sound, recording acoustic material has been on the band’s mind for quite some time. “It's something we've talked about doing for a while,” admits vocalist/guitarist James Carroll. “We wanted to explore the versatility of our songs and also explore our boundaries as songwriters.” Today, AbsolutePunk exclusively premieres the acoustic version of “Unknowingly Strong” here: Not only has the band been hard at work on the new EP, but Make Do And Mend have been working on a new music video for the single “Transparent Seas” that will be revealed shortly.
Named one of Alternative Press100 Bands You Need To Know in 2011, Make Do And Mend is living up to that honor. After racking in fervent reviews of the end-of-year list topper End Measured Mile, Make Do And Mend have spent this year supporting bands such as Hot Water Music, The Wonder Years, Polar Bear Club, and appearing at SXSW, Krazyfest, and Rainfest.
Make Do And Mend is James Carroll (vocals/guitar), Mike Poulin (bass), Matt Carroll (drums), and Mike O'Toole (guitar).
