TWLOHA founder, Jamie Tworkowski recalls the inspiring evening by stating, "HEAVY AND LIGHT is an attempt to move people. Music is a big part of the night, because music has the unique ability to remind us we're alive. Songs have a way of saying it's okay to ask questions, and it's okay to feel things deeply. More than anything, we want folks to know that, when it comes to their struggles, it's okay to be honest, and it's okay to ask for help."

HEAVY AND LIGHT is a unique evening of songs, conversation, and hope. HEAVY AND LIGHT is not a benefit show, but an attempt to move people and let them know it's OK to be honest and to ask for help. This message is shared onstage not only through music, but also through the powerful words of mental health counselors, TWLOHA representatives, and inspiring speakers. Everyone who attends a HEAVY AND LIGHT show also leaves with a list of local mental health resources for depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Previously, TWLOHA released a HEAVY AND LIGHT Introduction video, here: http://bit.ly/1gnQj9w.

GARY CLARK JR. WINS 2014 GRAMMY AWARD FOR "BEST TRADITIONAL R&B PERFORMANCE"

GARY CLARK JR. WINS 2014 GRAMMY AWARD FOR "BEST TRADITIONAL R&B PERFORMANCE"

LETTERMAN APPEARANCE CONFIRMED FOR FEBRUARY 17TH
TOUR WITH KINGS OF LEON TO BEGIN NEXT MONTH

January 27th, 2014 - Singer, songwriter, and guitarist extraordinaire Gary Clark Jr. won a 2014 Grammy Award last night for "Best Traditional R&B Performance" for "Please Come Home." The song appears on Clark's debut album for Warner Bros. Records, Blak And Blu. This is the Austin native's first Grammy Award. Originally nominated in two categories: "Best Rock Song" for "Ain't Messin 'Round,"  as well as "Best Traditional R&B Performance" - "Please Come Home," this marks the first time in Grammy history that a single artist has been nominated in two different genre categories simultaneously from one album in the same year.

In addition, Clark turned in an incendiary performance with Keith Urban on the live Grammy broadcast trading lead vocals and guitar solos on Urban's "Cop Car", from his current album.

In October 2012, Clark released Blak And Blu, which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at No. 6 and received raves from many major music outlets, including The New York Times, which called Clark "a guitarist of deep magnetism and tremendous feel," and Spin, which declared: "There truly is nobody else like him around."  Rolling Stone recently dubbed Clark as "The Chosen One". Click here to view Clark's road to the Grammy's.

Clark will be heading out on the road with Kings Of Leon beginning Feb 5th, in Atlanta and wind up the tour March 8th, in Chicago. All tour dates are listed below:

THE ATARIS ANNOUNCE 'SO LONG, ASTORIA' REUNION TOUR

THE ATARIS ANNOUNCE ‘SO LONG, ASTORIA’ REUNION TOUR

December 17, 2012 – Los Angeles, CA – For the first time in a decade, the classic lineup of The Ataris will reconvene to perform their million-selling album, So Long, Astoria, in its entirety from start to finish.   For one tour only, Kristopher Roe, Mike Davenport, Chris Knapp and John Collura will share the stage to celebrate their beloved album, performing fan-favorite hits like “So Long, Astoria,” “The Saddest Song” and their iconic version of Don Henley’s “Boys of Summer.”  Support will include:Authority ZeroDrag The RiverVersus The World and Gasoline Heart.  Tickets for the upcoming tour will go on sale to the public on December 20th.

In conjunction with today’s tour announcement, The Ataris has released part one of a new mini-documentary about the band’s reunion and the making of So Long, Astoria.  Watch it now, exclusively at Billboard.comhttp://bit.ly/1dkWcOE.

Formed in 1996, The Ataris went on to sell hundreds of thousands of albums on small independent label Kung Fu Records before signing to Columbia Records in 2001.  In 2003, the band released their career-defining album, So Long, Astoria, which sold over a million copies and spawned the hits, “In this Diary,” “The Saddest Song” and “Boys of Summer.”

After headlining multiple Warped Tours and selling out major tours of their own, the classic line-up of The Ataris disbanded in 2004, leaving behind a legacy of influence and rock-radio anthems that still live on today.

A decade later, that lineup will reunite for one tour to celebrate So Long, Astoria, an album that helped redefine punk rock in the early 2000’s with vivid confessionals and melodic heartfelt sing-alongs.

“I’m looking forward to going out and bringing these songs to a crowd and really giving it our all, and hopefully bringing some of these fun memories back to our fans,” singer/guitarist Kristopher Roe says.  “I really feel like the most important thing is to be reconnected with three of my old best friends.  I’m excited to go out and make music with them again.”

“It’s a lot of nostalgia to come back and do this tour,” guitarist John Collura adds.  “It’s a celebration of what the four of us accomplished as a band.”

“This tour, for me, means more of redemption,” concludes bassist Mike Davenport.  “Us four reunited again, performing what I think is one of our best albums.”

“I haven’t seen these guys in forever,” drummer Chris Knapp says.  “It’s going to be crazy.”
