TWLOHA founder, Jamie Tworkowski recalls the inspiring evening by stating, "HEAVY AND LIGHT is an attempt to move people. Music is a big part of the night, because music has the unique ability to remind us we're alive. Songs have a way of saying it's okay to ask questions, and it's okay to feel things deeply. More than anything, we want folks to know that, when it comes to their struggles, it's okay to be honest, and it's okay to ask for help."
HEAVY AND LIGHT is a unique evening of songs, conversation, and hope. HEAVY AND LIGHT is not a benefit show, but an attempt to move people and let them know it's OK to be honest and to ask for help. This message is shared onstage not only through music, but also through the powerful words of mental health counselors, TWLOHA representatives, and inspiring speakers. Everyone who attends a HEAVY AND LIGHT show also leaves with a list of local mental health resources for depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Previously, TWLOHA released a HEAVY AND LIGHT Introduction video, here: http://bit.ly/1gnQj9w.
